Khaman Dhokla is a very popular Gujarati snack across India.
Khaman Dhokla is soft, spongy savoury cake. This instant recipe requires gram flour, green chilli, fruit salt and a tempering of mustard seeds and curry leaves. This is spicy, little sweet in taste. It is a favourite of my daughter and Its been 10 years now that I have been making it as a breakfast dish for my family. It’s not only very tasty but can also be easily cooked. Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-
- This is an instant recipe which requires fruit salt. Add fruit salt to the batter and immediately put this in the steamer to get soft and spongy dhokla.
- Once the water in the steamer starts boiling then only steam the dhokla.
