Aloe Vera Achaar | Instant Aloe Vera Pickle is a mouthwatering pickle for everyone. 

Aloe Vera Achaar | Instant Aloe Vera Pickle is a delicious and very healthy pickle. This is an instant recipe that you can enjoy with paratha or poori or any meal. This is simple and quick to prepare using fewer ingredients which are easily available in the kitchen. Aloe Vera is known for its many health benefits. It is good for skin, hair and especially for joints. One should include this superfood in the diet. To make it tasty, pickle is prepared which you can enjoy with your meals. Moreover, it is easy to prepare without any hassle. So, try to make it at home and let us know your feedback.

  • You can store this pickle outside for 6 to 7 days in winter days. And If you want you can store it in the refrigerator for up to 15 days.

Ingredients

  • Aloe Vera - 1 big leaf
  • Danamethi/Fenugreek Seeds - 2 Teaspoon
  • Saunf/Fennel Seeds - 1 Teaspoon
  • Kalonji/Onion Seeds/Nigella Seeds - 1/2 Teaspoon + 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Hing/Asafoetida - a pinch
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 to 1 Teaspoon
  • Amchur/Dry Mango Powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Oil - 2 to 3 Tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Wash and pat dry the aloe vera. Then remove the sides (thorny part) and chop into small cubes. Take a pressure cooker and add chopped aloe vera and little water to dip it. Pressure cook for 2 whistles . Then strain the water and wash well with cold water.
  2. Meanwhile, boil 1 cup water then switch off the flame. Add danamethi/fenugreek seeds. Keep aside for 30 minutes. Then drain the water and wash it once.
  3. Now, take a bowl and add boiled aloe vera, boiled fenugreek seeds, fennel seeds, kalonji, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, dry mango powder. Mix well.
  4. Heat oil in a pan.
  5. Add asafoetida and 1/4 teaspoon kalonji. Then add aloe vera mixture. Cook it for 2 to 3 minutes while stirring it. Once the water content evaporated, switch off the flame. Transfer the pickle to a serving bowl.
  6. Delicious and Healthy 'Aloe Vera Achaar | Instant Aloe Vera Pickle' is ready to be served.
