Aloo Ka Halwa | 10 Minutes Recipe is a yummy dessert for all.

Aloo Ka Halwa | 10 Minutes Recipe is a delightful sweet dish of potato. This requires boiled potato, ghee, sugar, dry fruits and it is flavoured with cardamom powder. This recipe uses only a few ingredients which are easily available in the kitchen. You can have this halwa on fasting day too. This recipe is very easy to prepare and tastes yumm. So, try to make this for the Janmashtami or any other day for your family and enjoy.

  • Make this halwa with Homemade Desi Ghee.
  • You can use powdered sugar according to your taste to make the halwa.
  • Saute the mashed boiled potato on a medium flame with some ghee. Stir it continuously or else it can stick to the pan.

Ingredients

  • Boiled Potato - 4 medium sized
  • Ghee/Clarified Butter - 2 to 3 Tablespoon or more
  • Powdered Sugar - 1/2 Cup or as per taste
  • Mixed Dry Fruits (Cashew, Almonds, Raisins) - 1/4 Cup
  • Cardamom powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Sliced Pistachios - few for garnishing
  • Saffron - few strands soaked in 1 tablespoon warm milk

Instructions

  1. Mash the boiled potato. It should be lumps free.
  2. Heat ghee in a pan or kadai. Add ghee and heat it.
  3. Add mashed potato. Mix well. Saute it and stir it continuously. Saute it for 8 to 10 Minutes. The flame should be medium.
  4. Once it leaves the pan and the colour of the potato changes, then add sugar to it. Mix well and cook.
  5. Then add saffron milk to it. Add cardamom powder to it. Mix well.
  6. Once it leaves the pan then switch off the gas.
  7. Take a bowl, add halwa to this. Invert it on a plate. Garnish it with sauteed dry fruits and pista.
  8. Yummy 'Aloo Ka Halwa' is ready to be served.
