Aloo Tikki Chaat is a tangy, sweet and spicy delicacy for chaat lovers. The tikki is made with potato, some spices and served with curd, tamarind chutney. It is a yummy dish perfect for a snack. So, try this easy recipe.

Ingredients

  • Aloo/potato - 2 medium sized (boiled and mashed)
  • Onion - 1 medium sized (finely chopped)
  • Ginger - 1/2 inch (grated)
  • Coriander leaves - 1 Tablespoon (finely chopped)
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Salt - salt to taste
  • Cumin powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Gram masala powder/All spice mix - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Chaat masala - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Oil - 2 Tablespoon
  • Dahi/Curd - 1/2 Cup
  • Imli chutney/Tamarind chutney - 1/4 Cup
  • Pomegranate seeds - 1 Tablespoon
  • Bhujiya / Sev - 2 Tablespoon
  • Corn flour - 1 Tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl, add mashed potato, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, salt, gram masala powder, onion, coriander leaves, ginger and corn flour. Mix it well.
  2. Then make tikki from the mixture. Meanwhile, take a pan and heat. Add oil to it, shallow fry tikki till its colour changes to golden brown.
  3. Take a serving plate add tikki in it. Put dahi on it then. Add imli chutney and onion.
  4. Sprinkle bhujiya/sev, coriander leaves, pomegranate seeds and chaat masala.
  5. Yummy Street food 'Aloo Tikki Chaat' is ready to be served.
