Alsi Podi | Flax Seed Podi is a very nutritious dish from Soth Indian cuisine. 

Alsi Podi | Flax Seed Podi is a delicious and healthy podi. You can have this podi with idli or rice or use as a chutney for your meals. This is quick and super easy to make using fewer ingredinets which are easily available ingredients. Moreover, this is nutritious and full of different types of benefits. As we know alsi or flax seeds are good for heart health, skin, hair. This is the only vegetarian source of omega 3 fatty acid. Apart from these it also helps to improve the immune system. It also helps in the digestion. So, try to make this podi at home and let us know your feedback.

Ingredients

  • Alsi/Flax seeds - 1/2 Cup
  • Dry Red Chilli - 4
  • Tamarind - a small piece
  • Coriander Seeds - 2 Teaspoon
  • Jaggery/Gud - as per taste
  • Salt - as per taste

Instructions

  1. Take a pan and add flax seeds and dry roast on a low flame. Add dry red chilli, tamarind, coriander seeds. Dry roast for couple of minutes then switch off the flame. Let it cool completely.
  2. Take a grinder jar and add roasted ingredients. Grind it to make coarse powder.
  3. Then add jaggery, salt. Grind it again to make fine powder. Keep it in the airtight container.
  4. Healthy and delicious 'Alsi Podi | Flax Seed Podi' is ready to be served.
