Besan Bread Toast Recipe

Besan Bread Toast is an instant breakfast/snack recipe which is yummy and healthy. You can add finely chopped spinach also for increasing the nutrition quotient.

Ingredients

  • Besan/chickpea flour - 1/2 cup
  • Breads - 5
  • Finely chopped onions/pyaz - 1
  • Chopped green chillies/ hari mirch - 1 (or as per taste)
  • Chopped coriander leaves/dhaniya patta - 4 tablespoons
  • Ajwain/carom seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt/namak as per taste
  • Red chilli/lal mirch powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Oil/tel for shallow frying the toast
  • Water/pani - 1 and 1/2 cups

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl and add besan. Add water and mix well. Make a medium runny batter.
  2. Now add chopped onions, green chillies and coriander leaves. Add red chilli powder, ajwain and salt. Mix and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  3. Cut bread slices into triangles.
  4. Heat a tawa and drizzle few drops of oil.
  5. Take a bread triangle and dip in the besan batter and place it on tawa.
  6. Roast the bread on both the sides using oil till golden brown in colour.
  7. Instant and yummy 'Besan Bread Toast' is ready to serve. Enjoy with tomato sauce and green chutney.
