Coconut Chutney | South Indian Special is a yummy chutney to be served with Medu Vada, Idli and Dosa.

Coconut Chutney | South Indian Special is made with fresh coconut, green chilli, ginger, coriander leaves, tamarind. This chutney is tempered with mustard seeds and curry leaves. This is a must chutney generally served with South Indian Dishes like Medu Vada, Idli, Dosa. It tastes delicious and has the health benefits too.

Ingredients

  • Fresh Coconut - 1 Cup grated
  • Green chilli - 2
  • Coriander leaves - a handful
  • Ginger - 1 inch piece grated
  • Tamarind - 10 Gram or as per taste
  • Salt - as per taste
  • FOR TADKA:-
  • Oil - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Curry leaves - few

Instructions

  1. Take a grinder jar and add grated coconut, green chilli, grated ginger, tamarind, salt, coriander leaves. Grind it to a smooth paste by adding little water.
  2. Take out in a bowl.
  3. Take a tadka pan, add oil and heat it.
  4. Add mustard seeds and let it splutter. Then add curry leaves. Then switch off the gas.
  5. Pour this tadka over chutney. Mix well
  6. Yummy 'Coconut Chutney' is ready to be served with Medu Vada, Idli, Dosa.
