Corn Toast is an easy and mouth-watering recipe perfect for kids’ snacks.

Corn Toast is an Indian style toast with corn, bread, and onions. Perfect for breakfast or kids snacks – ready in 5 minutes. There are many ways to prepare Corn Toast, here we used a pan. You can also use it’s stuffing for sandwiches, it works great for both. Cheese toast is an all-time favorite and also very easy to make for a quick breakfast or snack. You can also add vegetables like finely chopped carrots, salad tomato, etc. This will also make for a great starter along with a drink for parties and functions. Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:

  • Use homemade butter.
  • You can add veggies of your choice.
  • If cornflour is not available you can use besan or bread crumbs for binding.
  • When roasting the toast on the pan, keep pressing it a little with the spatula. This will make sure that the stuffing is also cooked nicely.

Ingredients

  • Corn - 2 cups roughly, crushed
  • Onion - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves - 1 tablespoon
  • Green chilli - as required
  • Ginger paste - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cornflour - 1 tablespoon
  • Brown/multigrain/white bread - 2 slices
  • Salted/unsalted butter (at room temperature) - as required

Instructions

  1. Take the roughly crushed corn in a bowl.
  2. Add onion, coriander, green chilli, and ginger paste to it.
  3. Add salt, pepper powder, and corn flour. Mix well.
  4. Take 2 bread slice, and spread the stuffing on it.
  5. Heat a pan and grease it with butter.
  6. Place both the stuffed breads on it. Keep the flame low. Press them gently.
  7. Now spread butter on the top and flip it over. Keep the flame low to make it crispy.
  8. Toast it for 1 to 2 minutes.
  9. Now turn off the flame and transfer it to a serving plate.
  10. Delicious 'Corn Toast is ready to be served.
