Ingredients

  • Basmati Rice-1 bowl
  • Green pea (Matar)- 250g
  • Spices- Turmeric powder-1 tsp, Salt-1 tsp, chili flakes-1/2 tsp, hot masala-1 tsp, asafoetida- pinch and cumin seeds-1 tsp
  • Chopped Ginger - 1tsp
  • Chopped Coriander Leaves- 1 tbsp
  • Ghee-1 big spoon

Instructions

  1. Put cooker on stove,add ghee in it and then add asafoetida, cumin seeds in it and fry till cumin seeds becomes golden.
  2. Put wet rice in it and peas also.Then add 2 bowls of water and mix all ingredients and cover it. Cook till 1 whistle and put off gas. Cool it for some time.
  3. Open the lid and garnish with coriander leaves and serve matar pulao with cucumber raita and salad of papad,fruits and carrot, radish etc.
