Ingredients

  • Tomato / Tamatar - 4 Chopped
  • Ginger / Adrak - 1 Inch chopped
  • Green Chilli / Hari Mirchi - 1 Chopped + 1 Finely chopped
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Cumin Seeds / Jeera - 1/2 tsp
  • Mustard Seeds / Rai - 1/2 tsp
  • Curry Leaves / Curry Patta - A few
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirch Powder - 1 tsp
  • Onion / Pyaz - 1 Finely chopped
  • Butter - 2 tbsp
  • Whole Wheat Flour / Gehu Ka Aata - 1 &1/2 tbsp
  • Milk - As required
  • Black Pepper Powder / Kali Mirch Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Red Chilli Flakes - 1/2 tsp
  • Mixed herbs - 1/2 tsp
  • Water - As required
  • Cheese - 1/4 Cup grated + For garnishing
  • Macaroni Pasta - 2 Cups boiled
  • Coriander Leaves / Hara Dhaniya - A handful
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Take tomato in a Philips grinding jar. Add ginger and chopped green chilli. Grind it for a few seconds and prepare its puree.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, finely chopped green chilli, curry leaves, and the prepared tomato puree. Mix well.
  3. Then add salt and red chilli powder. Mix well. Saute it for 2 to 3 minutes on medium flame. Stir it occasionally.
  4. Now add onion and mix well. Saute it for 1 to 2 minutes on medium flame.
  5. Once done, turn off the flame and keep it aside.
  6. Heat butter in a pan. Add whole wheat flour and mix well. Roast it for 1 to 2 minutes on medium flame.
  7. Now add milk gradually and keep stirring continuously until the mixture becomes thick.
  8. Further, add black pepper powder, red chilli flakes, mixed herbs, and salt. Mix well. Keep stirring continuously.
  9. Then add cheese and mix well. Add a little water to adjust the medium thick consistency.
  10. Now add boiled pasta and mix well. add the prepared cooked tomato mixture and mix well. Add coriander leaves and mix well.
  11. Once done, turn off the flame. Take it out to a serving plate. Garnish it with cheese.
  12. 'Desi Tadka White Sauce Pasta' is ready to be served.
