														Ingredients
- Besan/ gram flour - 200 gm
 - Red chilli powder - 1/2 tablespoon
 - Baking soda - 1/4 teaspoon
 - Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
 - Ajwain - a pinch
 - Hing/ asafoetida - 1/4 teaspoon
 - Water as required to make faafda dough
 - Salt as per taste
 - Oil as required to deep fry 
 
Instructions
- Take all dry ingredients except oil. Mix them properly with hand/ spoon.
 - Add 1 tablespoon of oil to the above mixture.
 - Keep mixing till breadcrumbs like texture is achieved.
 - Knead the dough using water as required.
 - Keep aside. Divide the dough into equal balls.
 - Heat enough oil in a kadhai on medium flame.
 - Roll out the flattened balls using rolling pin longitudinally.
 - With a knife, scrap out the rolled faafda and deep fry in oil.
 - Turn them for cooking even on both sides.
