Hara Bhara Dosa | Moong Dal Palak Chilla is a great way to start your day. This requires green gram/moong dal, spinach and some spices. This is a healthy breakfast which is high in protein, iron, essential vitamins and minerals to keep you going the whole day. Ingredients

  • Moong Dal/Green gram - 1 Cup
  • Palak/Spinach - 1 Cup
  • Green chilli - 1
  • Ginger - 1 inch piece
  • Red chilli powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Jeera/Cumin seeds - 1 Teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Garam Masala/All spice mix - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Oil - as required
  • Chopped Onion - as required
  • Chopped Tomato -

Instructions

  1. Soak the green gram in water for at least 2 hours. After soaking, drain the extra water. Grind into a smooth paste.
  2. Add spinach, ginger, green chilli into a mixer jar and grind it.
  3. Mix both the ground paste in a bowl.
  4. Add all the spices and salt, mix well.
  5. Heat a nonstick tawa, grease the tawa properly with a teaspoon oil.
  6. Pour a spoonful of the batter and spread it to make a dosa. Drizzle some oil around the center and the edges.
  7. Add some chopped onion and tomato as a topping. (optional)
  8. Let it cook well until the base gets light golden brown color and the top of dosa/chilla gets dried. Flip and cook on the other side. Once done, remove from the pan.
  9. Yummy 'Hara Bhara Dosa | Moong Dal Palak Chilla ' is ready to be served.
