Ker Ka Instant Achaar is a delicious pickle made of ker. Ker is a green berry-like fruit of a thorny bush found in the arid parts of Rajasthan. It is very sour and is commonly available during the months of April and May. These Ker berries are treated to remove the sourness by soaking in salt water for 10 to 15 days by changing the water every day. After this, the sourness is removed and they taste bit tangier. Some also use buttermilk to soak them. These ker berries are then used to make pickles and sabzi which are very tasty and delicious.
