Ingredients

  • Noodles - 1/2 Cup
  • Corn flour - 3 Tablespoon
  • Black pepper powder - 2 Teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - for deep frying
  • Red chilli powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Cabbage - 1 Cup (finely chopped)
  • Carrot - 1/2 Cup (finely chopped)
  • Capsicum - 1/2 Cup (finely chopped)
  • Soy sauce - 2 Tablespoon
  • All purpose flour - 1 Tablespoon
  • Ginger - 1 inch (grated)
  • Garlic - 5 cloves (finely chopped)
  • Onion - 1 medium sized (finely chopped)
  • Tomato sauce - 1 Tablespoon
  • Red chilli sauce - 1 Teaspoon
  • Green chilli sauce - 1 Teaspoon
  • Vinegar - 1 Teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves - for garnishing
  • Sesame Seeds - for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a pan . Add noodles to it and cook. Strain the noodles. In another bowl, add noodles, black pepper powder, a tablespoon of corn flour, red chilli powder, salt and mix it well.
  2. Take a tea strainer and spread the noodles in round shape. Press it with another tea strainer. Deep fry this till the colour changes to golden brown.
  3. Demould it and keep it aside. Make rest of the nest as above.
  4. In another bowl, add half quantity of cabbage, 1 teaspoon salt and keep it aside for 15 minutes.
  5. After 15 minutes squeeze the cabbage to remove its water. Mix cabbage, all purpose flour, 1 tablespoon corn flour, capsicum, salt, 1 teaspoon soy sauce and black pepper powder.
  6. Make small sized balls from the mixture and deep fry this till the colour changes to golden brown. Keep it aside.
  7. In a pan, add 2 tablespoons oil and heat it. Add ginger, garlic, onion and saute for 1 minute. Add cabbage, carrot, capsicum and saute for 2 minutes.
  8. Add tomato sauce, green chilli sauce, soy sauce, red chilli sauce, vinegar, salt and cook for 2 minutes. Add 1/4 cup water to it and boil.
  9. In a bowl, add remaining corn flour, a tablespoon of water and mix it well. Add the cornflour mix to the pan. Boil for 2 minutes.
  10. Add cabbage ball and mix. Add coriander leaves and mix it.
  11. In a serving plate, arrange noodles nest and put manchurian on it. Sprinkle sesame seeds on it.
  12. Manchurian in noodles nest is ready to be served. Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve.
