Ingredients

  • Potatoes - 3 medium sized
  • Onion - 3 big sized
  • Green chillies - 2 finely chopped
  • Besan - 1 cup
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder as preferred
  • Suji - 1/2 cup
  • Hing - 2 pinches
  • Salt as per taste
  • Coriander leaves finely chopped - a sprig
  • Chat masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Oil to deep fry the pakodas
  • Jeera - 1 teaspoon
  • Water - as required

Instructions

  1. Peel potatoes and cut them into thin wedges.
  2. Peel onions and cut them as thin as the potatoes.
  3. Mix all the ingredients except oil and mix together.
  4. Heat oil in a kadhai.
  5. Check if the oil is hot enough and drop a coin sized portion of the pakoda mixture and deep fry till golden brown.
  6. Serve delicious onion & potato pakodas with a bit of chat masala sprinkled over them with tea.
