Do you know this is the most famous recipe of Thailand – PAD THAI and should be eaten hot! The best part is the mom here has customized the recipe in such a way that anyone can prepare this dish in India without any hassle!

Pad Thai | Phad Thai | Thai Noodles is a very famous street food of Thailand. The rice noodles are tossed in the tangy, spicy and sweet sauce to make this mouthwatering dish. It has a crunch of peanuts with spring onion greens and paneer/cottage cheese. This is a healthy and delicious preparation. This is a variation of the traditional recipe with desi tadka in it. You can prepare these noodles at home with Indian ingredients. Now, you can enjoy this street food direct at your home. And it gets ready in just 10 minutes with easily available ingredients. So, try to make this yummy preparation at home and enjoy with your family and friends.

  • You can use veggies to make the noodles more healthy. Saute the veggies along with paneer/tofu.
  • Peanuts are the most important ingredient to make this dish. So, do not avoid it.
  • You can use paneer/cottage cheese or Tofu/soya paneer.

Ingredients

  • Thai Rice Noodles - 100 Gram
  • Garlic - 5 to 6 cloves finely chopped
  • Tofu/Soy paneer or Paneer/cottage cheese - 50 Gram
  • Spring Onion greens - 2 Teaspoon chopped
  • Black pepper powder - as per taste
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Peanuts ( Roasted and crushed ) - 2 Tablespoon + as required for Garnishing
  • Sesame oil - 2 Tablespoon
  • INGREDEINTS FOR DRESSING:-
  • Tamarind Paste - 2 Teaspoon
  • Soy Sauce - 2 Teaspoon
  • Brown Sugar - 2 Teaspoon
  • Red Chilli Sauce - as per taste

Instructions

  1. Boil the rice noodles for 3 to 4 minutes in water. Do not cook it completely. Switch off the gas and drain the water completely.
  2. PREPARING DRESSING: Take a bowl and add tamarind paste, soy sauce, brown sugar, red chilli sauce, Mix well and keep aside.
  3. Now, heat oil in a pan or wok.
  4. Add chopped garlic and saute in for few seconds. Then add paneer/tofu and saute it until it turns light brown.
  5. Add half of the quantity of dressing and mix. Add boiled noodles and remaining dressing. Toss the noodles well so that every noodle coated with sauce.
  6. Add salt, black pepper powder, spring onion greens and crushed roasted peanuts. Toss it lightly. Cook for a minute then switch off the gas. Transfer the noodles to a bowl.
  7. Delicious 'Pad Thai | Phad Thai | Thai Noodles' is ready to be served.
