Peshawari naan is a traditional sweet, savoury and nutty bread and very delicious in taste.

Peshawari naan is slight sweetish in taste as compared to all other naans. Peshawari Naan gets its name from Peshawar which is in Pakistan where it has its origin. It has nice stuffing made of all aromatic spices and nuts.

Ingredients

  • All purpose flour - 1cup
  • Curd - 1/4cup
  • Milk - 1/2cup
  • Oil - 2spoon
  • Salt - salt to taste
  • Baking soda - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Butter - 2spoon
  • Almond - 5 pieces (finely chopped)
  • Cashew - 5 pieces (finely chopped)
  • Pistachio - 5 pieces (finely chopped)
  • Fennel seeds - 1 tablespoons (roasted)

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl, seive all purpose flour then add salt, curd, baking powder, baking soda and mix it well.
  2. Add oil, mix it well and then add milk to make soft dough. Keep it aside for 20 minutes.
  3. After 20 minutes knead it once again, then make balls from the dough and then flatten it in naan shape.
  4. Crushed the fennel seeds, then sprinkle on naan.
  5. Sprinkle dry fruits on naan, then with the help of spoon press all the dry fruits on naan and put butter on it.
  6. Take a pan, grease it with butter, then cook the naan on low flame for 8-10 minutes.
  7. Peshawari Naan is ready to be served with butter on it.
