Protein Laddu | Energy Balls is a nutritious and lip-smacking snack for everyone.

Protein Laddu | Energy Balls are quick and super easy to make. It is sugarfree, protein and iron-rich snack for everyone. This uses all the healthy ingredients like ragi/finger millet flour, oats, dry nuts, dates. This can be an evening snack for all family members. You can easily prepare this laddu using easily available ingredients for this winter season. Everyone will love to have this laddu because the taste is just amazing. So, try to make this laddu at your end and enjoy with your family. Do share your feedback as well.

Tips and Suggestions by the Mom Chef:-

  • You can use any type of millet flour like bajra/pearl millet, jwar/sorghum or multigrain flour.
  • Use dry fruits of your choice to make the laddu.
  • To make the laddu, add little milk in batches to bind all the ingredients.
  • You can use jaggery instead of dates/Khajur puree.
  • Adjust the sweetness as per your taste.

Ingredients

  • Ragi/Finger Millet Flour - 4 to 5 Tablespoon roasted
  • Oats Powder - 4 to 5 Tablespoon roasted
  • Dates Puree - 2 Tablespoon
  • Mixed Dry Fruits - 1 Tablespoon chopped
  • Raisins/Kishmish - as required for garnishing
  • Cocoa Powder - as required for coating
  • Desiccated Coconut - as required for coating
  • Ghee/Clarified Butter - 2 Teaspoon + for greasing
  • Milk - as required

Instructions

  1. Remove the seeds of dated and soak them in hot water for at least 10 to 15 minutes. Then mash it with hands or using a blender.
  2. Now, take roasted finger millet/ragi flour, oats powder in a bowl.
  3. Add dates puree, 2 teaspoon ghee/clarified butter, little milk to bind all the ingredients.
  4. Add chopped dry fruits and mix well.
  5. Grease the hands with ghee. Divide the mixture into equal parts and roll to make smooth laddu.
  6. Now, roll the laddu in desiccated coconut or cocoa powder. Then garnish with raisin.
  7. Delicious 'Protein Laddu | Energy Balls' is ready to be served.
