Pyaaz Ki Kachori – Air Fryer Recipe is a yummy, healthy and very famous Rajasthani dish.

Pyaaz Ki Kachori – Air Fryer Recipe is a delicious, crispy kachori made in Philips Air Fryer – HD9216 ( However the updated model is available in the market. You can click here to see the new model on amazon : Philips Airfyer HD9220 ).These kachoris are 70 % to 80 % oil free. These are easy to make and simply mouthwatering. It requires onion, potato, gram flour, and Indian spices, This mixture is stuffed in refined flour dough to make kachori. It is a healthy and less oil snack for all. These kachoris are very famous Rajasthani snack. So, try it out and enjoy with your family without any guilt.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • By adding ghee, the kachori will be more crispy/khasta.
  • Keep aside for 15 minutes by covering with a cloth.
  • If you want to use the dough immediately then just knead the dough for 3 to 4 minutes.

Ingredients

  • FOR DOUGH:-
  • Maida/Refined flour - 2 Cup
  • Ghee/Clarified butter - 3 Tablespoon
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Water - as required
  • FOR STUFFING:-
  • Onion - 3 chopped in chunks
  • Besan/Gram flour - 1 Tablespoon
  • Boiled potato - 1 mashed
  • Green chilli - 2 finely chopped
  • Ginger - 1 inch piece
  • Coriander leaves - a handful
  • Crushed coriander seeds - 1 Tablespoon
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Cashew - 5 to 7
  • Red chilli powder - as per taste
  • Garam masala/All spice mix - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Amchur powder/Dry Mango powder - 1 Tablespoon
  • Crushed black pepper - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Jeera powder/Cumin seeds powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Sugar - a pinch
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Oil - 2 Tablespoon + for greasing

Instructions

  1. PREPARING DOUGH:-
  2. Take a bowl and add refined flour, salt, ghee/clarified butter. Mix well. Add water to make a medium-soft dough. Keep aside for 15 minutes by covering with a cloth. (Adding ghee makes the kachori more crispy/khasta.
  3. Or You can immediately use the dough. Just knead the dough for 3 to 4 minutes. Then it is ready to be used.
  4. PREPARING THE STUFFING:-
  5. Take a pan, add 2 tablespoon oil and heat it.
  6. Add cumin seeds, crushed coriander seeds and cashew nuts. Saute it for few seconds.
  7. Then add grated ginger, chopped green chilli. Saute it.
  8. Add chopped onion. Saute it on a high flame for about 3 to 4 minutes or until it turns pinkish.
  9. Once the onion turns pinkish, add boiled and mashed potato. Saute it.
  10. Then add gram flour/besan. Mix well and saute.
  11. Now, add turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder, amchur powder, garam masala, crushed black pepper, sugar, cumin powder. Mix well. Saute it. Cook it for a minute.
  12. Then add chopped coriander leaves. Mix well. Then switch off the gas. Let the mixture cool for some time.
  13. PREPARING KACHORI:-
  14. Take a big sized dough ball. Roll it and flatten it with hands.
  15. Take small ball the stuffing and stuff in the dough. Seal it properly and remove the extra Celsius.
  16. Flatten the kachori with your palm. If it breaks then apply water and seal it properly.
  17. Preheat the Air Fryer for 5 minutes at 200 degrees Celcius. Set the Philips Air Fryer at 200 degrees Celcius for 20 minutes.
  18. Set the at 200 degrees Celcius for 20 minutes of the Philips Air Fryer.
  19. Pu the kachori in the Air Fryer. Bake it.
  20. After 10 minutes, brush the kachori with oil from both the side. Flip the kachori. Bake again for 10 minutes. (Brushing with oil gives a shine to the kachori)
  21. Once done, take out on a serving plate.
  22. Yummy and healthy 'Pyaaz Ki Kachori' is ready to be served.
