Raw Mango Rice | Raw Mango Puliyogare is a colorful and tasty dish. You can add it to your plate with sabji, paratha, poori, or roti. Ingredients

  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Mustard Seeds / Rai - 1/2 tsp
  • Black Gram / Urad Dal - 1 tsp
  • Bengal Gram / Chana Dal - 1 tsp
  • Curry Leaves / Curry Patta - A few
  • Dry Red Chilli / Sukhi Lal Mirch - 2
  • Roasted Peanuts / Moongfali - 1/4 Cup
  • Onion / Pyaz - 1 Sliced
  • Turmeric Powder / Haldi Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Raw Mango / Kachha Aam - 1/2 Peeled and grated
  • Cooked Rice / Chawal - 2 Cups
  • Coriander Leaves / Hara Dhaniya - A handful
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, black gram, bengal gram, curry leaves, dry red chilli by breaking them into 2 pieces. Mix well.
  2. Then add roasted peanuts and onion. Mix well. Saute it for 1 to 2 minutes on medium flame. Keep stirring occasionally.
  3. Now add turmeric powder and salt. Mix well. Then add raw mango and mix well.
  4. Now add cooked rice and mix well. Then add coriander leaves.
  5. Cover the pan with a lid for 1 to 2 minutes on low flame.
  6. Once done, mix well. Turn off the flame and take it out to a serving plate.
  7. 'Raw Mango Rice | Raw Mango Puliyogare' is ready to be served.
