Ingredients

  • Rice Flour - 200 grams
  • Vegetable Oil -: 2 tablespoon
  • Salt & Ajwain - As per taste
  • SAMOSA MASALA
  • Potato - 6 medium size pieces
  • Ginger - 1 piece
  • Green Chilli - 2 -3 pieces
  • Coriander Leaves - A bunch
  • Spices as per taste - Crushed Black pepper, Red Pepper, Coriander Powder, Garam Masala, Dry mango Powder (Amchoor), Fennel Seeds ( Saunf)
  • Vegetable oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. SAMOSA DOUGH: Take Rice Flour and put vegetable oil, ajwain and salt in it.
  2. Make dough out of it (not too tight or loose). Cover it with a muslin cloth and keep it aside for 5 minutes.
  3. SAMOSA MASALA: Boil the potatoes in the pressure cooker and take two whistles. Peel the potatoes and cut them into very small pieces.
  4. Mash the potatoes and add all the spices mentioned above and then mix them thoroughly.
  5. MAKING THE SAMOSA: Take the dough and divide them into thin circular shaped balls like chapati dough balls. Using a rolling pin, flatten the dough balls (size of a regular chapati). Cut it into two half pieces (equal sized)
  6. Take half teaspoon rice flour ( or if you want you can take maida too) and mix it with 2 tablespoon water.
  7. On the straight edge of the halved piece, put this rice flour water (acts as an adhesive)
  8. Join the two straight ends of the halved piece and give it a shape of a cone.
  9. Put the samosa masala in the samosa cone and put the maida water again on the top. Now seal the samosa cone and it should be done properly and tightly sealed so that masala does not come out while frying.
  10. Take a pan or kadai for deep frying and put vegetable oil in it. Oil quantity should be half the pan depth such that samosa can be completely dipped in it.
  11. Heat the oil well and now put the samosa cones in it at low flame.
  12. Fry it completely from all the sides thoroughly till samosas turn golden brown.
  13. Hot, mouth watering samosas are ready ! Serve Rice Flour Samosas hot with garma garam chai (Indian Tea) and tomato sauce/green chutney and enjoy!!
