Sooji Malai Bread is an easy and tasty tiffin box idea. 

Sooji Malai Bread is a colorful snack without oil. You just need semolina, fresh cream, veggies, and some spices to prepare this healthy dish. This is a perfect breakfast or a tea-time snack too. This is very easy to make at home as this recipe uses ingredients that are easily available at home. The flavor of melted malai with veggies gives a nice fragrance and taste. It is a healthy option for Kitty parties or any get-togethers. This appetizer perfectly balances nutrition and is a complete meal in itself. So, try to make this yummy dish at home and enjoy it with your family.

Ingredients

  • Fresh Cream / Homemade malai - 1 tbsp
  • Semolina / Sooji - 1 tbsp
  • Milk - As required
  • Capsicum / Shimla mirch - 1 tbsp finely chopped
  • Green chilli / Hari mirch - 2 to 3 Finely chopped
  • Tomato / Tamatar - 1 tbsp finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - A handful
  • Black pepper powder / Kali mirch - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Bread - 2 Slices
  • Butter - As required
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Take fresh cream in a bowl. Add sooji and mix well. Keep it aside and let it rest for 15 to 20 minutes. Then add little milk to prepare medium thick batter.
  2. Now add capsicum, green chilli, tomato, coriander leaves, black pepper powder, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Then take a bread slice and spread the prepared sooji malai mixture on it.
  4. Meanwhile, heat a tawa. Add prepared bread's sooji malai mixture side to the tawa. Cook it for 1 to 2 minutes on a low flame. Apply butter on the plain side.
  5. Press it while roasting. Flip it to cook the other side for a few seconds. Likewise, roast another bread slice.
  6. Once it is roasted from both sides, turn off the flame. Transfer it to a serving plate. Cut it into long pieces.
  7. 'Sooji Malai Bread' is ready to be served.
