Tawa Paneer Tikka is a delicious appetizer for all.

Tawa Paneer Tikka is a lip-smacking snack and appetizer. These are made on tawa that makes it a hassle-free dish. Once my daughter came back from her work and wanted to eat something tasty as soon as possible as she was very hungry. So I came up with the idea of Paneer Tikka in jhatpat style. They turned out so nice that nowadays we cook it in breakfast and eat a high protein healthy breakfast at home. So, try it out and let us know how you liked it.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • If you want, you can bake in the oven too.
  • Marinate the paneer/cottage cheese for 15 minutes if you have time otherwise you can make instantly.

Ingredients

  • Paneer : 1 cube or 200 gm
  • Capsicum (Red, Yellow or Green whichever is available) : 1 piece in each color
  • Onion : 1 piece
  • Fresh Thick Curd : 1/2 cup ( Hund curd is optional)
  • Chilli Garlic Paste : 1 teaspoon
  • Spices as per taste : Red Pepper , Chaat Masala, Red Chili Flakes, Black Pepper
  • Salt as per taste
  • Mustard Oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Vegetable Oil - for greasing the tawa or pan
  • Skewers for Paneer Tikka

Instructions

  1. Cut paneer into small square pieces. Take fresh thick curd or hung curd and then beat it for 2 minutes. Add all the spices mentioned above and one teaspoon mustard oil.
  2. Mix paneer in fresh curd. Add chopped bell peppers and onion to it along with all the spices
  3. Keep the mixture aside for 15 minutes if you have time otherwise you can make instantly.
  4. Take a pan and brush it with oil. Take each single piece of paneer and vegetables and put them on skewers.
  5. Cook them slowly for 5 (turn them when necessary on the other side) until they turn brown from all the sides.
  6. Enjoy the Jhatpat paneer tikka !!!
