Ingredients

Boiled potatoes - 3 mashed
Bread crumbs - 1/2 cup
Chopped green chillies -1 to 2
Chopped green coriander - handful
Salt - to taste
Garam masala - pinch
Roasted Jeera powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Red chilli powder - as per taste
Cornflour - 1 teaspoon
Oats - 1 tablespoon
Vermicelli (crushed) - 1 tablespoon
Oil - 1 teaspoon for dough
Oil - for frying

Instructions

Peel and mash boiled potatoes. Add finely chopped green chillies, green coriander leaves, salt, jeera, red chilli powder, garam masala and bread crumbs.
Mix all ingredients of tikki and make a homogenous mixture. Add 1 teaspoon oil to this and shape tikkis of it.
Make a thin smooth paste of corn flour.
Spread oats in one plate and crushed vermicelli in another.
Dip your tikkis one by one gently in the corn flour paste and roll on oats and vermecilli gently.
Place them on a plate.
Now heat oil in a kadahi. When hot, Deep fry the tikkis to golden color, on medium flame.
One can shallow fry on tawa too.
Cook nicely from both sides on low to medium flame.
Delicious and lip-smacking aalu tikkis are ready to be served.
