Ingredients

  • Raw mango / Kacha aam - 1 Peeled & chopped
  • Asafoetida / Hing - A pinch
  • Fennel Seeds / Saunf - 1/2 tsp
  • Dry Fenugreek Seeds / Methi Dana - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Turmeric Powder / Haldi Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirch Powder - 1 tsp
  • Jaggery Powder / Gud - 1 tbsp
  • Desi Khand - 1 tsp
  • Water - As required
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add asafoetida, fennel seeds, and dry fenugreek seeds. Mix well. Saute it for a few seconds on medium flame.
  2. Then add raw mango and mix well. Now add salt and turmeric powder. Mix well. Saute it for 1 to 2 minutes on medium flame.
  3. Further, add red chilli powder and little water. Mix well.
  4. Now add jaggery powder and desi khand. Mix well. Saute it for 1 to 2 minutes on medium flame till the mango becomes soft.
  5. Once done, turn off the flame and take it out in a serving bowl.
  6. 'Aam Ki Launji | Kairi Ki Launji' is ready to be served.
