Adai | Adai Dosa is a healthy and delicious breakfast for all.

A wholesome and protein-rich breakfast Adai | Adai Dosa is quick and simple to make. This is prepared from mixed lentil and rice batter with some green chilli, curry leaves and a dash of asafoetida. It is similar to dosa but not completely a dosa. It is quite thicker as compared to dosa. This does not require any type of fermentation. You have to just grind the soaked lentils – toor dal/pigeon peas, chana dal/Bengal gram, urad dal/black gram and rice and the batter is ready to make the dish. This goes well with either sambar or any type of chutney or gunpowder. This is filling and a complete meal for your kids and family. This can be a good tiffin snack or even a tea-time snack. So, try to make this at your end and let us know how you liked it.

This delicious dish was prepared by Lakshmi Ishwar ( an educator, entrepreneur and homemaker)

Tips and Suggestion by Mom Chef:-

  • There are many variations possible. You can add veggies to make it more healthy.
  • You can green chillies as per your taste while grinding.
  • Add onion while grinding or in the batter if you want.
