Aloo Paratha | Punjabi Aloo Paratha Recipe is a mouthwatering stuffed paratha for all.

Aloo Paratha | Punjabi Aloo Paratha Recipe is a delicious and very famous breakfast across India. The spicy potato mixture stuffed in the dough then rolled and cooked. This paratha is served with a dollop of butter and curd. This is a complete meal and very filling so, you do not have to eat anything. This is a very quick and easy recipe. This can be a good tiffin option for kids as well. So, try to make this tasty paratha at home and let us know how you liked it.

Tips and Suggestions by the Mom Chef:-

  • Mash the potato very well. It should not have lumps. Else the paratha will break.
  • You can adjust the spice level as per your taste.

Ingredients

  • Potato - 1 boiled
  • Onion - 1 small sized
  • Ginger - 1/2 Teaspoon finely chopped
  • Green chilli - 1 finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves - 1 to 2 Tablespoon finely chopped
  • Red chilli powder - as per taste
  • Black pepper powder - as per taste
  • Cumin seeds - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Oil - as required for roasting
  • Whole Wheat Flour dough - as required

Instructions

  1. Mash the boiled potato very well.
  2. Add salt, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, cumin seeds, chopped onion, green chilli, coriander leaves, grated ginger. Mix all the ingredients with hands.
  3. Now, take a whole wheat flour dough (it should be less than a chapati dough ball).
  4. Dust it with a flour and roll it to make a small roti. Put the potato stuffing in it. Seal it properly. Then roll it to make paratha.
  5. Meanwhile, heat a tava.
  6. Cook the paratha on a medium flame. Apply oil on both the sides and cook it.
  7. Once it gets cooked from both the sides, take it out on a plate. Add a dollop of butter on the top.
  8. Yummy 'Aloo Paratha' is ready to be served.
