Aloo Puri

Aloo puri is a quick breakfast and kid’s lunch box recipe which can be made very quickly. This potato puri or aloo puri is made with very basic ingredients available at home.

Aloo puri  is complete meal in itself. Aloo puri is spicy, crispy and you don’t really need any extra sabzi with it. Just a cup of tea and some pickle work best. You can serve Aloo puri hot or cold, they taste delicious either ways. They are crisp when hot and become soft and melt-in-mouth once cool down.

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour - 1 cup
  • Semolina / rava - 1/4 cup
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Carom seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Oil - 1 cup
  • Red chilli powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Potato (boiled and mashed) - 4small pieces
  • Gram masala powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Coriander leaves (finely chopped) - 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl add wheat flour, rava, red chili powder, cumin powder, salt, gram masala powder, carom seeds and 2 teaspoon oil mix it well.
  2. Add potato and coriander leaves mix it well then add water to make soft dough. Keep the dough aside for 15 minutes.
  3. After 15 minutes make puri from the dough. Heat oil in a deep kadai and fry all the puris.
  4. Aloo puri recipe is ready to serve with your favorite subzi.
