Aval Upma | Poha is a unique and different variation of the poha we generally make. This breakfast dish is a quick and simple recipe that you can make whenever sudden guests arrive or when you are in a hurry. The main ingredients that this recipe uses are flattened rice or poha, peanuts, and some vegetables, and is hence, healthy for kids as well as adults. Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-
- Before cooking the poha, remember to wash them properly. Soak the flattened rice in water for 5 minutes and drain the excess water out. Spread the flattened rice a little while drying it so that it does not stick to each other. You can dry the flattened rice under the fan if you are in hurry.
- You can also use lemon juice instead of using tamarind water.
- You can change the quantity of tomato as per the amount of poha used.
