They will love to eat this unique dish. This is not only tasty but healthy dish. It is quick and easy snack using leftover food. This has a crispy texture with a flavourful stuffing of potato in it. This recipe uses very less oil for roasting the samosa hence it is very healthy and anyone can enjoy the dish. So, try to make this healthy samosa at your end and enjoy with your loved ones.

  • You can add spices in the stuffing according to your taste.
  • Cheese is an optional ingredient; however, it adds taste to the stuffing. And you can use any type of cheese if you want to.
  • You can use butter or ghee or oil for roasting the samosa.

Ingredients

  • Leftover Roti - 2
  • Boiled Aloo/ Potato - 2
  • Pyaaz/ Onion - 2 Tablespoon chopped
  • Adrak/ Ginger - 1/2 inch piece grated
  • Hari mirch/ Green chilli - 1 finely chopped
  • Laal Mirch powder/ Red Chilli powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Haldi powder/ Turmeric powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Garam Masala/ All Spice mix - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Namak/ Salt - as per taste
  • Kala namak/ Black salt - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Kasuri methi/ Dry Fenugreek leaves - 1 Teaspoon
  • Grated Cheese - 2 Teaspoon
  • Dhaniya patta/ Coriander leaves - 1 to 2 Tablespoon chopped
  • Nimbu ras/ Lemon juice - juice of 1/2 Lemon
  • Tel/ Oil - 1 Tablespoon
  • Tomato ketchup - as required for garnishing
  • Namkeen Sev - as required for garnishing

Instructions

  1. In a bowl add and mix well boiled potato, chopped onion, grated ginger, chopped green chilli, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, black salt, lemon juice, coriander leaves, and grated cheese.
  2. Now, take a leftover roti and fold it twice to make a triangle.
  3. Stuff the potato mixture in the roti.
  4. Meanwhile, heat a pan. Add oil to it.
  5. Roast the samosa on a medium flame until it is crisp on both the sides. Take it out once cooked.
  6. Apply tomato ketchup on the open side of samosa then sprinkle namkeen sev. The sev will stick to the samosa with the help of ketchup.
  7. Delicious 'Bachi Roti Ka Samosa | Leftover Roti Samosa' is ready to be served.
