Ingredients

  • Besan (gram flour) - 2 cups
  • Ghee - 1 cup
  • Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sugar powder - 1 and 1/2 cups
  • Chopped dry fruits - as required

Instructions

  1. Melt ghee in a pan, add besan and mix well. Cook on low flame and stir occasionally until it becomes golden brown and gives out a lovely aroma.
  2. When it completely become golden brown then turn off the gas and add chopped dry fruits and mix cardamom powder. Let it cool.
  3. Once its cooled down, add sugar powder and mix well with your hands.
  4. Shape these into the shape of a heart with the help of a cookie cutter. Besani Dil Burfi is ready.
