  • You can store it in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days.
  • You can add leftover masala to the bhindi or make namkeen Paratha.
  • Take the top and bottom parts of the bhindi and boil them in water. Then grind it. Use it as a conditioner for your hair.

Ingredients

  • FOR PREPARING STUFFING :
  • Coriander powder / Dhaniya powder - 2 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder / Lal mirch powder - 1 tsp
  • Fennel seeds / Saunf - 1/2 tsp coarsely ground
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Dry Mango powder / Aamchur - 1/2 tsp
  • Gram flour / Besan - 1 tbsp
  • Mustard oil / Sarso ka tel - 1 tsp
  • FOR PREPARING BHARWA BHINDI :
  • Lady finger / Bhindi - 250 gram
  • Mustard oil / Sarso ka tel - 2 tbsp
  • Asafoetida / Hing - a pinch
  • Carom seeds / Ajwain - 1/2 tsp
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. FOR PREPARING STUFFING :
  2. Take a bowl and add coriander powder, red chilli powder, crushed fennel seeds, salt, dry mango powder, gram flour, and mustard oil. Mix well.
  3. FOR PREPARING BHARWA BHINDI :
  4. Wash and pat dry the bhindi. Cut the bhindi into two pieces and make a vertical slit.
  5. Stuff the above prepared stuffing into it. Likewise stuff all the bhindi.
  6. Heat mustard oil in a pan. Add asafoetida and carom seeds. Then add Stuffed Bhindi and saute it on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
  7. Then cover the pan with a lid and cook it on low flame for 10 minutes. Keep stirring it in between.
  8. Once the bhindi is cooked, turn off the flame and take it out to the serving bowl.
  9. 'Bharwa Bhindi | Stuffed Okra' is ready to be served.
