Black Til And Dates Laddu are delicious as well as healthy laddu for winters. This requires black sesame, dates, jaggery, coconut, almonds and edible gum. All the ingredients used in this recipe are very nutritious. This laddu is a rich source of fibre, protein, iron and calcium. This is very easy to prepare too. Black sesame is good for skin and hair. Moreover, it is loaded with health-boosting minerals, protein, fibre and good fats. This laddu is a rich source of fibre, protein, iron and calcium. So, try to make this nutritious laddu for you and your family and be healthy.

Ingredients

  • Black Til/Sesame - 1 & 1/2 Cup
  • Dates - 1/2 Cup deseeded
  • Desiccated coconut - 1/4 Cup + for garnishing
  • Chopped almonds - 1/4 Cup
  • Gond/Edible Gum - less than 1/4 Cup
  • Jaggery - 1/4 Cup grated
  • Ghee/Clarified butter - as required

Instructions

  1. Blend the black sesame using a mixer grinder. Make a coarse powder. 
  2. Add grated jaggery in the jar and blend again. Transfer to a bowl.
  3. Now, fry the edible gum/gond in ghee. Add in the black sesame mixture.
  4. Add 2 to 3 tablespoon of ghee to the mixture.
  5. Add the desiccated coconut, chopped almonds, dates and mix well. Use more ghee if required for binding. Mix well to combine all the ingredients. (if you want you can also add sugar as per your taste)
  6. Make laddu out of the mixture. Keep it on a plate. Garnish with desiccated coconut .
  7. Yummy and healthy 'Black Til And Dates Laddu' are ready to serve!
