Ingredients

  • Corn Flour - 1 cup
  • Water - 2 + 1/4 cups
  • Sugar - 2 cups
  • Lemon juice- 1 teaspoon
  • Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chopped dry fruits - 1/4 cup
  • Ghee - 1/4 cup
  • Food colour - 1 pinch

Instructions

  1. Dissolve corn flour in 2 cups of water. Mix well there should not be any lumps. Keep aside.
  2. Heat a pan and add 2 cups sugar and 1/4 cup water and cook it on medium flame until sugar melts.
  3. Add the mixture of corn flour and cook it on a low flame. Keep stirring continuously on a low flame.
  4. Stir occasionally till it becomes thick.
  5. When it becomes transparent add little ghee and mix well and add the rest of the ghee and mix well. Ghee should completely mix into it.
  6. Now add chopped dry fruits, lemon juice, food colour mix well and stir continuously till it becomes like rubber.
  7. Keep aside for 2 hours to set, then cut in any shape of your choice. Garnish with dry fruits.
  8. Bombay krachi halwa is ready to be served.
