Bread Waffle Pizza – Tasty Snack

Basically waffle is a leavened batter or dough cooked between two plates, patterned to give a characteristic size, shape and surface impression. Waffles are eaten throughout the world, particularly in Belgium and have dozen regional varieties. Here I gave a twist to the normal waffle by using bread and lots of vegetables and cheese. You can use any vegetable of your choice.

Ingredients

  • Multigrain / Whole Wheat / White Bread Slices – 6
  • Grated Mozzarella Cheese – 1/4th Cup
  • Onion – 1/2 (roughly chopped)
  • Green Bell Pepper – 1/2 (roughly chopped)
  • Tomato – 2 tablespoon (separate the seeds and roughly chopped)
  • American Corn kernels – 2 tablespoon
  • Baby Spinach - 10 to 12
  • Pizza Sauce – 3 to 4 tablespoon
  • Dried Oregano Leaves – ½ teaspoon
  • Butter for greasing the waffle iron
  • Tomato Ketchup - for serving

Instructions

  1. First cut the sides of each bread slice.
  2. Grease waffle iron with butter and put one bread slice over it. Spread pizza sauce and arrange vegetables over it.
  3. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the bread slice.
  4. Sprinkle black pepper powder (as per taste) and dried oregano leaves. Put another bread slice over it.
  5. Cover and cook it for 4 to 5 minutes or until it turn golden in colour.
  6. Repeat the same process to make more waffle pizzas.
  7. Cut waffle pizza in squares and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
  8. Tasty Bread Waffle Pizza is ready.
