Ingredients

  • Carrot - 400 Gram (grated)
  • Ghee/Clarified butter - 1/2 Cup
  • Milk - 1 Litre
  • Sugar - 1/2 Cup
  • Almond - 10 (finely chopped)
  • Pistachio - 5 (finely chopped)
  • Cashew - 5
  • Cardamom powder - 1 Teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Add ghee to a pan and heat. Add carrot and saute for 20 minutes on a low to medium flame.
  2. In another pan, add milk and boil it till the milk reduces to half of the original quantity.
  3. Add the reduced milk in carrot and cook on low flame till it completely cooks and milk has been absorbed.
  4. Add sugar, cardamom powder and mix it well. Cook on medium flame till it dries completely.
  5. Add almond, pistachio and mix it well. Switch off the flame.
  6. 'Carrot halwa' is ready to be served. Garnish with cashew nuts and serve it hot.
