Chili Garlic Idli is a spicy and lip-smacking Indo Chinese dish.

Chili Garlic Idli is simple and easy to prepare with idli, sauces, and veggies. A tasty way to use leftover idlis. Idli is a popular South Indian snack served with chutney and sambar and is one of the most popular breakfast choices. Serve it as a breakfast or evening snack or also can be served for light dinner. Ingredients

  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon (optional)
  • Green chili - 1 teaspoon finely chopped
  • Garlic - 1 teaspoon finely chopped
  • Onion - 1 julienne
  • Capsicum (green, yellow, red) - 2 tablespoons julienne
  • Tomato ketchup - 1 tablespoon
  • Red chili sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - as required
  • Idli - 5 to 6
  • Vinegar - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds - as required for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, green chili, garlic, onion, and saute it well.
  2. Add capsicum and saute it on a high flame.
  3. Add tomato ketchup, red chili sauce, soy sauce, salt, and saute it.
  4. Cut each idli into 4 pieces and add it. Saute it and add vinegar. Saute it gently.
  5. Garnish it with the sesame seeds and turn off the flame.
  6. Delicious Chili Garlic Idli is ready to be served.
