Chinese Poha is a mouthwatering dish for everyone. 

Chinese Poha is an innovative snack made with poha/flattened rice. This is quick and super easy to prepare with easily available ingredients. Moreover, you just need some veggies, sauces, poha to prepare this snack. You can serve this dish as an evening snack or tiffin snack to kids or even breakfast for the family. Everyone loves this poha with a twist as this has Chinese flavour. So, try to make it at home and enjoy with your family and friends.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • To make the poha fluffy, wash the poha and drain the water immediately and keep aside the poha in the strainer.
  • You can use veggies of your choice to make the poha.

Ingredients

  • Poha/ Flattened Rice - 1 Cup
  • Pyaaz/ Onion - 1/2 sliced
  • Patta gobhi/ Cabbage - 1/2 Cup shredded
  • Shimlamirch/ Green capsicum - 1/2 julienne
  • Beans - few Chopped
  • Dhaniya patta/ Coriander leaves - as required
  • Soy Sauce - 1 Teaspoon
  • Green Chilli Sauce - 1 Teaspoon
  • Adrak-Lehsun paste/ Ginger-Green chilli paste - 1 Teaspoon
  • Namak/ Salt - as per taste
  • Jeera/ Cumin seeds - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Sarso/ Mustard seeds - 14 Teaspoon
  • Curry patta/ Curry leaves - few
  • Oil - 1 to 2 Teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Wash the poha and drain the water completely. Keep aside to soak. Add salt and ginger-green chilli paste, mix well.
  2. Heat oil in a pan.
  3. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, and curry leaves.
  4. Then add sliced onion, cabbage, and capsicum and sauté them on a high flame for a couple of minutes.
  5. Add chopped beans and sauté them.
  6. Now, add soaked poha and mix well.
  7. Add soy sauce and green chilli sauce. Mix well, cook for a minute, and then turn off the flame. Garnish the poha with coriander leaves.
  8. Delicious 'Chinese Poha' is ready to be served.
