Ingredients

  • Wheat flour -1 large bowl
  • Oil(warm) - 1/3 cup
  • Ghee(warm) - 1/2 cup
  • Sliced jaggery - 1/2 cup
  • Elaichi powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Pinch of nutmeg powder
  • Poppy seeds(khusKhus) - 1/2 cup
  • Water - 3/4 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Take wheat flour in a bowl.
  2. Add 1/3 cup of warm oil/ghee to the flour.
  3. Knead a dough from the wheat flour adding water as required. Make sure the dough is stiff than regular dough.
  4. Divide the dough into small balls.
  5. The balls are rolled into a bhakhari (something like a roti).
  6. Make some cuts on bhakhari with a knife.
  7. Heat the tawa on medium flame and roast the bhakhari until it turns to golden brown.
  8. Allow the bhakhari to cool down and cut it into small pieces. Grind the bhakhari pieces.
  9. Warm 1/2 cup ghee in a thick bottom vessel.
  10. Once ghee gets melted, add jaggery. Stir continuously until the jaggery melts.
  11. Add the melted jaggery to the bhakhari powder.
  12. Add nutmeg and elaichi powder to the mixture and mix well.
  13. Take some mixture in hand and give it round shape.
  14. Roll each ladoo in poppy seeds.
  15. Churma ladoos are now ready to be served.
