Corn Spinach Sandwich is a lip-smacking breakfast and snack.

Corn Spinach Sandwich is a creamy and cheesy sandwich. The stuffing uses white sauce along with corn and spinach to make it more flavourful. This is quick and easy to prepare using fewer ingredients. You can serve it in kid’s tiffin or as breakfast for the family. Everyone will this sandwich especially kids as this uses white sauce. This is a healthy way to feed spinach and corn to the family. Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • You can use whole wheat flour/gehu ka aata to make the white sauce.
  • Use white bread or brown bread or multigrain bread to make this sandwich.
  • You can avoid garlic powder or can use fresh garlic as well to prepare the stuffing.
  • If you do not have Italian seasoning then you can use mixed herbs or seasoning of your choice.

Ingredients

  • INGREDIENTS FOR SANDWICH:-
  • Bread - 2 slice
  • Cheese Slice - 1
  • Butter - as required
  • INGREDIENTS FOR FILLING:-
  • Boiled corn - 1 Cup
  • Chopped Spinach - 1 Cup
  • Onion - 1 medium sized finely chopped
  • Refined flour - 2 Tablespoon
  • Milk - 1/2 Cup or as required
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Italian Seasoning or Mixed Herbs - as per taste
  • Butter - 1 Tablespoon

Instructions

  1. PREPARING THE FILLING:- Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a pan on a low flame.
  2. Then add finely chopped onion and saute it.
  3. Add chopped spinach, saute it. Then add boiled corn and salt. Mix well and cook.
  4. Add refined flour and mix well. Roast it for 2 minutes on a medium flame.
  5. Then add milk and mix well. Cook it. Add garlic powder, Italian seasoning. Mix well.
  6. PREPARING THE SANDWICH:-
  7. Take a bread slice and spread the filling. Put cheese slice on it. Apply butter on another bread slice and cover the sandwich.
  8. Pre-heat the sandwich maker or heat a tawa.
  9. Grill the sandwich by applying some butter. Once it turns golden brown, take it out. Cut into pieces.
  10. Delicious 'Corn Spinach Sandwich' is ready to be served.
