Dhaba Style Aloo Shimla Mirch Ki Sabji is a spicy and tasty side dish. 

Dhaba Style Aloo Shimla Mirch Ki Sabji is a soul-satisfying dish. This is a very simple sabji to prepare as this uses ingredients that are easily available at your home. It goes well with roti, poori, or paratha. The tanginess of tomato puree and gram flour makes a wonderful texture and amazing taste. So, try to prepare this yummy sabji and enjoy it with friends and family. Ingredients

  • FOR FRYING POTATO :
  • Potato / Aloo - 2 Chopped
  • Oil - For frying
  • FOR FRYING SHIMLA MIRCH :
  • Capsicum / Shimla mirch - 2 Sliced
  • Oil - For frying
  • FOR PREPARING DHABA STYLE ALOO SHIMLA MIRCH KI SABJI :
  • Oil - 2 Tablespoons
  • Cumin seeds / Jeera - 1 Teaspoon
  • Mustard seeds / Rai - 1 Teaspoon
  • Ginger-green chilli paste / Adrakh hari mirchi paste - 1 Teaspoon
  • Onion / Pyaz - 2 Finely chopped
  • Tomato puree / Tamatar puree - Of 2 tomatoes
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Turmeric powder / Haldi powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder / Lal mirch powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Coriander powder / Dhaniya powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds powder / Jeera powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Gram flour / Besan - 2 Tablespoons
  • Curd / Dahi - 1/2 Cup whisked
  • Water - As required
  • Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - A handful

Instructions

  1. FOR FRYING POTATO :
  2. Heat oil in a pan for frying. Add potato and fry it for 3 to 4 minutes on medium flame. Stir it occasionally.
  3. Deep fry it until they become crispy and golden brown from all sides. Then, take it out on a plate. Keep it aside.
  4. FOR FRYING SHIMLA MIRCH :
  5. Heat oil in a pan for frying. Add shimla mirch and fry it for 1 to 2 minutes on medium flame. Stir it occasionally. Then, take it out on a plate. Keep it aside.
  6. FOR PREPARING DHABA STYLE ALOO SHIMLA MIRCH KI SABJI :
  7. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, and ginger-green chilli paste. Mix well and add onion.
  8. Saute it for 2 to 3 minutes on medium flame. Then add tomato puree. Mix well for 1 minute.
  9. Now add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, and cumin seeds powder. Mix well.
  10. Add gram flour and curd. Stir it continuously for 1 to 2 minutes. Add little water. Mix well then add fried potato and shimla mirch. Mix well.
  11. Once done, turn off the flame and garnish it with coriander leaves. Take it out to a serving bowl.
  12. 'Dhaba Style Aloo Shimla Mirch Ki Sabji' is ready to be served.
