Dry Fruits Bar | Dry Fruits Chikki is a nutritious snack for everyone. 

Dry Fruits Bar | Dry Fruits Chikki is a crunchy snack and is healthy too. This has different types of fry fruits which makes it super healthy. You can serve it as an evening snack or a munching snack to everyone. This does not require much preparation and cooking time. You can make and store this chikki as well. Everyone will love this chikki/energy bar. So, try to make this crunchy snack at home and let us know your feedback.

This snack was prepared by Shraddha Thakrar – a lovely grandmom with years of cooking.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • You can use dry fruits of your choice to make this chikki. Make sure the proportion of ingredients should be proper as mentioned in the recipe.
  • Melt the sugar on a high flame while string it continuously until it is caramelized. Put a drop of caramelized sugar in water to check. If it turns hard then it is ready to make chikki.
  • Mix and flatten the chikki when it is hot. Else it will turn hard. Immediately cut into pieces.

Ingredients

  • Mixed Dry Nuts (Almonds, Cashew Nuts, Pistachios) - 3 Cup
  • Sugar - 1 Cup
  • Oil or Ghee/Clarified Butter - as required for greasing

Instructions

  1. Cut the dry fruits in 2 pieces. Then dry roast them separately for 1 to 2 minutes.
  2. Grease a non-stick pan with little oil.
  3. Add sugar to it and melt it on a high flame. Stir it continuously. It will change its colour to golden brown. Switch off the flame. Put a drop in water. If it gets harden then sugar is caramelized very well and ready to make.
  4. Add roasted dry nuts immediately and mix well to coat all the dry nuts.
  5. Grease a rolling pan or chakla with oil or ghee/clarified butter.
  6. Transfer the dry fruits mixture on it and flatten it with wet hands. You can use greased rolling pin as well. Be careful while doing this method because the mixture is hot. ( we have to do this process quickly as sugar gets harden very fast.
  7. Immediately cut the chikki to make pieces. Let it cool for 5 minutes.
  8. Delicious and healthy 'Dry Fruits Bar | Dry Fruits Chikki' is ready to be served. Store it in airtight container.
