Frozen Strawberries are the preserved strawberry that can be used across seasons.

The season of strawberries is about to end. So why not preserve these lovely delicious strawberries for the offseason as well! It is just too simple to store them by freezing it. And next time whenever you want them, you have it handy in your own freezer.

Ingredients

  • Strawberries - 1 to 2 packets, fresh

Instructions

  1. Remove the green leaves and stalks from the fresh strawberries.
  2. Wash and pat dry them completely with a clean dry cloth.
  3. You can store them as slices or whole. Divide smaller ones and very big separately.
  4. Once pat dried completely, Keep the smaller and medium strawberries on a plate (if possible on silicon mat), such that they do not touch each other.
  5. Keep them in a freezer for 4 to 5 hours. When frozen, keep them in zip lock pouches or airtight freezer safe containers.
  6. For bigger strawberries, slice them and keep in a single layer on a tray/plate such that they don't touch each other.
  7. Freeze the slices for 4 to 5 hours. Then pack again in zip lock pouches or containers.
  8. Keep the zip-pouch or containers with strawberries back in the freezer after packing.
  9. 'Frozen Strawberries' are ready to be used.
