Idli Dhokla is an instant tiffin snack and is very delicious.

Idli Dhokla is made with gram flour, semolina, curd. It is a quick fix recipe. It can be served as a snack/breakfast or in a tiffin. All family member will love this dish very much.

Ingredients

  • Gram flour - 1 Cup
  • Semolina - 1/2 Cup
  • Yoghurt - 3 Tablespoon
  • Oil - 2 Tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Sugar - 2 Tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Baking soda - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Mustard seeds - 1 Teaspoon
  • Green chilli - 2 (chopped)
  • Curry leaves - 10 leaves

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl, add gram flour, semolina,1 tablespoon oil, turmeric powder, salt, 1 tablespoon sugar, yoghurt. Mix it well.
  2. Add water to make semi thick batter. Then add baking soda and mix it well.
  3. Take an idli maker, preheat it. Grease it with oil and quickly pour the batter in idli moulds.
  4. Steam it on a medium flame for 10 minutes.
  5. For Tadka, take a pan add oil and heat it. Add mustard seeds, green chilli, curry leaves. when it splutter add sugar, lemon juice and 1/2 cup water. Cook for 1 minute then turn off the flame.
  6. After 10 minutes de-mould the dhokla and put Tadka on it.
  7. Jhatpat snacks 'Idli Dhokla' is ready to be served,
