Kadhai Paneer – Without Onion and Garlic is a delicious combination of paneer and capsicum mixed with Indian aromatic spices. This recipe is special because it made without using onion and garlic.

Kadhai Paneer – Without Onion and Garlic is a very traditional and popular curry loved by everyone. I made Kadhai Paneer today without onion and garlic. It was liked by all in the family. This is also a famous dish from North Indian cuisine. This dish normally served whenever a guest is also coming at your home or one is visiting a restaurant! So, try this yummy dish and relish with family members.

Ingredients

  • Paneer cubes : 1 bowl
  • Green capsicum/ shimla mirch cubes : ½ bowl
  • Chopped tomatoes/ tamatar : 1 bowl
  • Grated ginger/ adarak : 1 small piece
  • Chopped green chili/ hari mirch : 1
  • Spices/ masale as per taste : salt/ namak, red pepper/ lal mirch, cumin seeds/ jeera, coriander/ dhaniya powder, asafoetida/ hing, garam masala, kasuri methi, cumin/ jeera powder and turmeric/ haldi powder
  • Coriander leaves/ dhaniya patta chopped - a hand full

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil and add capsicum and saute it for 2-3 minutes. Take it out in a plate. Add paneer in the pan and saute it for 2-3 minutes and take it out.
  2. Grind the tomatoes, ginger and green chili in a mixer and make the paste.
  3. Heat some oil in a pan and add asafoetida and cumin seeds. When seeds crackle, add coriander powder, turmeric powder and cumin powder and saute it.
  4. Then add tomato paste and red chili powder. Cook it on medium flame till oil is separated from the mixture. Then add kasuri methi, garam masala and salt.
  5. Add paneer and capsicum cubes to the mixture. Mix them properly. You can add 2-3 tablespoons of water if required.
  6. Now garnish with chopped coriander. You can add whole garam masala if you want more spicy.
  7. Delicious and evergreen curry 'Kadai Paneer' is ready to be served with chapati/ rice.
