Kalakand is a yummy sweet famous across India.

Kalakand is a mouthwatering sweet generally made on festive occasions. This is an instant recipe to make kalakand. You require paneer or cottage cheese, condensed milk and it gets ready within 10 minutes. The cardamom powder gives a nice aroma and flavour to the dish. It is so easy and quick recipe to make. So, try this at home and enjoy with your family. So, try to make this instant dessert at home and enjoy with your loved ones.

  • You can store this sweet in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Ingredients

  • Paneer/Cottage cheese - 2 Cup or 250 Gram
  • Milk powder - 2 Tablespoon
  • Condensed Milk - 1 Cup or 125 ml
  • Cardamom powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Crushed Pistachios - 2 Tablespoon
  • Saffron strands - few (optional)
  • Ghee/clarified butter - for greasing

Instructions

  1. Take a pan and heat it on a medium flame.
  2. Add grated paneer and condensed milk. Mix well
  3. Cook it while stirring continuously on a medium flame.
  4. Add cardamom powder and saffron strands. Mix well. Cook on a medium flame until it gets thicken.
  5. After it gets little thick then add milk powder and mix well.
  6. Cook it while stirring continuously until it gets thicken completely and leaves the pan.
  7. Grease a plate or mould with some ghee. Pour this kalakand mix and spread. Top it with crushed pista.
  8. Let it cool and set for half an hour. Then cut into pieces.
  9. Yummy 'Kalakand' is ready to be served now.
