Ingredients

  • FOR SPONGE CAKE:-
  • Refined flour/Maida - 1 Cup
  • Powdered Sugar - 2 Tablespoon
  • Condensed milk - 200 Gram
  • Oil - 1/4 Cup
  • Baking powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Baking soda - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Milk - 1/2 Cup
  • Cornflour - 2 Tablespoon
  • Vanilla essence - 5 to 7 drops
  • FOR CHOCOLATE SAUCE:-
  • Powdered Sugar - 1 Cup
  • Cocoa Powder - 1/2 Cup
  • Butter - 1 Tablespoon
  • Milk - 1/2 Cup or more
  • FOR COATING:-
  • Desiccated coconut - 1 Cup or more

Instructions

  1. SPONGE CAKE:- Sieve maida, baking powder, baking soda, cornflour together. Keep aside.
  2. Take a bowl, add condensed milk and powdered sugar. Beat it with an electric beater or whisk. Whisk it well.
  3. Add oil and vanilla essence, Beat it again until mixed.
  4. Now, add half of the dry ingredients and beat it to mix all together.
  5. Add remaining dry ingredients and beat it until all ingredients mixed together.
  6. Meanwhile, preheat the oven. Grease the baking pan with butter and line it with butter paper.
  7. Pour the batter into baking pan. Tap it to level it.
  8. Now, place the baking pan in preheated oven. Bake the cake at 170 degrees Celcius for 30 minutes.
  9. After 30 minutes, check the cake by inserting a knife or toothpick. If it comes out clean then the cake is ready. If not then bake the cake for another 5 minutes.
  10. Take it out and cool it. De-mould and cool it on a wire rack.
  11. CHOCOLATE SAUCE:- Take a saucepan or patila. Fill it with a glass of water and heat it. Place another bowl on it. This is called double boiler.
  12. Add powdered sugar, cocoa powder, butter, milk in the double boiler.
  13. Whisk it with a hand beater to mix all the ingredients.
  14. If it looks thick then add some more milk and mix well. Then switch off the gas. Let it cool for some time
  15. COATING:- Cut the sponge cake into smaller square pieces.
  16. Dip this square cake piece in chocolate sauce. Then roll it in desiccated coconut. Coat it properly. Keep aside and make all.
