Ingredients

  • FOR PREPARING MASALA TEA :
  • Water - 2 Cups
  • Tea Masala / Chai Masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Ginger / Adarak - 1/2 Inch crushed
  • Tea Leaves / Chai Patti - 2 tsp
  • Sugar - 2 & 1/2 tsp
  • Milk - 2 Cups
  • FOR PREPARING BESAN BREAD TOAST :
  • Gram Flour / Besan - 2 Cups
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirch Powder - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder / Haldi Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida / Hing - A pinch
  • Carom Seeds / Ajwain - 1/2 tsp
  • Water - As required
  • Coriander Leaves / Hara Dhaniya - A handful
  • Onion / Pyaz - 1 Finely chopped
  • Cottage Cheese / Paneer - 50 gms.
  • Whole Wheat Bread - 2 Slices
  • Oil - As required
  • tsp = teaspoon

Instructions

  1. FOR PREPARING MASALA TEA :
  2. Boil water in a tea pan. Add tea masala, ginger, tea leaves, and sugar. Let it boil for 2 to 3 minutes on medium flame.
  3. Then add milk and bring it to a boil. Then keep the flame low and boil it for 3 to 4 minutes. Keep stirring occasionally.
  4. Once done, turn off the flame and strain the tea in a serving tea cup.
  5. FOR PREPARING BESAN BREAD TOAST :
  6. Take besan in a mixing bowl. Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida, and carom seeds by rubbing between your palms.
  7. Now add water gradually to prepare medium thick consistency batter. Whisk it well for 1 to 2 minutes.
  8. Then add coriander leaves, onion and grate paneer. Mix well. Add water to adjust the consistency.
  9. Meanwhile, heat a tawa. Grease it with oil. Now dip the bread into the gram flour batter and coat it evenly. Place it on the tawa.
  10. Put both bread slices. Roast it from one side on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
  11. Then flip it to cook the other side as well on the medium flame.
  12. Once cooked from both sides, take it out to the serving plate and cut it into 2 triangle pieces.
  13. 'Masala Tea With Besan Bread Toast' is ready to be served.
