Masala Toast | Veg Masala Toast is a scrumptious snack.

Masala Toast | Veg Masala Toast is a healthy and tasty snack option for your tea-time. This uses lots of veggies and brown bread. Moreover, this is quick and very simple to prepare. You can serve it as a tea-time snack or after school snack to your kids or even breakfast for your family. This is a good way to feed different veggies to kids and all family members. everyone will love this toast. So, try to make it at home and let us know your feedback.

Ingredients

  • Brown bread - 2 slices
  • Onion -1/2, finely chopped
  • Tricolour capsicum - 1/2 cup, finely chopped
  • Cabbage - 1/2 cup, shredded
  • Carrot - 1/2 cup, grated
  • Salt - to taste
  • Red Chilli Powder/Lal Mirch Powder - 1/4 Teaspoon or to taste
  • Black Pepper Powder/Kali Mirch Powder - 1/4 Teaspoon or to taste
  • Chaat Masala - to taste
  • Butter - as required
  • Oil -1 Teaspoon
  • Nylon Sev - as required for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add finely chopped onion and sauté for a few seconds.
  3. Then add chopped tricolour capsicum. Saute for few seconds.
  4. Add shredded cabbage and grated carrot. Sauté for a few seconds. Add salt and mix well. Cover and let it cook for 2 minutes on a low flame.
  5. Finally, add boiled mashed potato and mix well.
  6. Add black pepper powder, red chilli powder, and chaat masala. Mix well. Let it cook for a minute and then turn off the flame.
  7. Now, butter the bread slices. Then, spread the veggie mix over the buttered side.
  8. Meanwhile, heat a tawa or pan and grease it with butter.
  9. Roast the toasts on a low flame on both the sides. Once done, take them out. Cut into pieces. Top them with nylon sev.
  10. Delicious 'Masala Toast | Veg Masala Toast' is ready to be served.
