Methi Thepla is a very famous Gujarati dish, popular in India. 

Methi thepla is a quick breakfast recipe and is very nutritious. Methi adds an amazing flavor that makes you crave for more! These are soft and can also be used to carry along in travel. These stay fresh for around a week when stored in refrigerator.

Ingredients

  • Whole Wheat Flour - 1 cup
  • Methi (washed and chopped) - 1/2 cup
  • Turmeric Powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin Seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt as per taste
  • Seasame Seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ginger and Chili Paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Oil - for roasting
  • Curd - few spoons for kneading

Instructions

  1. Add all the ingredients, except oil and knead into a soft dough with curd.
  2. Make round balls from the dough.
  3. Roll the balls like how you make rotis or chapatis.
  4. Heat a tawa and roast the thepla with little oil. Now turn over and roast the other side and apply oil on top. Delicious methi thepla is ready!
